BLACK SATURDAY
This series is an exploration of the fragility and complexity of the human condition, moving through the shifting landscapes of emotion, vulnerability, love, pain, and resilience. The paintings reflect an introspective dialogue between our external experiences and the vast, often hidden worlds that exist within us. Through fragmented and ever-changing emotional states, the work considers how suffering, adversity, resignation, and love shape and transform the self. The figures become vessels for both personal and collective experiences, reflecting our fears, desires, wounds, and capacity for renewal.
At its core, the series questions what it means to remain human within a world marked by uncertainty and suffering. It is a meditation on the fragility of identity, the multiplicity of love, and the continuous transformation of the self where vulnerability can become both a wound and a source of strength.
