MEDITATION
This series is a meditation on life itself and the act of meditation—an exploration of what happens when the constant movement of thought begins to dissolve. The paintings reflect a journey inward, where the mind gradually releases its attachments and the boundaries of the individual self become less defined.
At the centre of the work is the Cosmic Egg, a recurring symbol of universal origin and the idea that within each of us exists a connection to something much larger than ourselves. Music and musical instruments become guides through this inward journey, representing rhythm, vibration, and the ability of sound to quiet the mind and carry consciousness beyond the everyday.
The figures inhabit a space between the physical and the spiritual, moving toward a state in which ego gives way to stillness. Through circular forms, and shifting cosmic imagery, the paintings evoke the search for mental clarity, peace, and tranquillity.
Ultimately, the series considers meditation as both an act of letting go and a return to oneself—a moment when thought becomes silence, the individual becomes part of something greater, and the mind finds a temporary sense of freedom.
